All the pain that I ache
House to house in LA
Had no real place to stay
Settled in with a teacher
Had to learn a few thangs about
Being a child
Of the most high God
How everything I knew
Ain’t everything I thought
So much correction
From life lessons
It’s like a curse
And a blessing
I need help
I need direction
Or else this journey
Leads to deception
I been through the hurt and the pain
I could never be the same man without it
But I know I can get through anything
If I keep my mind from doubting
When times are hard I sit and I pray
It won’t do much to worry about it
I know that I will see brighter days
If I just get around these mountains
I need the faith of a mustard seed
I know it ain’t Christian like but I touched the weed
Backsliding cause depression on me mentally
Suicidal cause these idols out here pimping me
Taking everything I got and everything I own
Now I’m out here in streets looking for a home
Like a stray dog hungry looking for a bone
Crazy how this life can take you out your comfort zone
With the car and the crib come see how I live
Prideful thinking like it’s mines when it’s God who gives
Feeling like I’m serving time in the county pin

Being who I used to be

I would take a different route
